It’s 1 year since I joined Morecambe Bay Wills and I couldn’t be happier.
Almost everyone says, ‘I’ve been meaning to do this for a long time’ and ‘I’m so glad I’ve finally got this sorted out’. It is so very rewarding.
I joined the company with a strong desire to do good, after being on the receiving end of badly written Wills in the past. It surprised and saddened me that many clients have been affected in the same way; many have their own shocking ‘Will story’. We offer Free Will reviews too, and I have yet to see a home made Will that would be legally valid! I take great pride in getting it right and proper.
I’ve realised there is no such thing as “a standard Will”
What I’ve realised is that there is no such thing as a ‘Standard Will’. Clients often start out thinking they just need a simple Will. When I present them with options they haven’t considered they realise how personal their wishes are. Your Will really must be your will!
Often it is not just a case of what you want to happen, but what you do not want to happen. We put so much time and effort into earning a living and getting a home. Spending an hour to sort your Will should come easily. I hope I make the process as effortless and smooth as possible for all my clients.
We are increasingly busy with Lasting Powers of Attorney too. There’s nothing like a worldwide pandemic to make us appreciate just how important these documents are. In many cases not even your nearest and dearest can legally help you with many financial and health matters without these documents …

We live in a beautiful part of the world and it’s a pleasure to travel around it visiting clients in the comfort and ease of their own homes. I get many a good cup of tea too!
Every day is a different day as a Will Writer. I have met many wonderful people with fascinating life stories in my first year with Morecambe Bay Wills. This is so much more than a job.
I love my work and my colleagues. I am proud to be part of this Award Winning Team.
